  • Is there any information I should know before purchasing a collapsible wand?
The following is a copy of the Infinite Fluidity Collapsible Leviwand care instructions and general information. A copy is included with all collapsible leviwand purchases.
  • Are Infinite Fluidity Collapsible Leviwands good quality?
Absolutely! If you have been flowing for a while or dabble in other props, may recognize some familiar components. At Infinite Fluidity, we use beautiful tapes from Hoopologie. Hoopologie has been the go-to source for eye-catching deco tapes, and the best selection of glow in the dark, reflectives and more. The upcoming hardwareless collapsible folding hoop design will also feature hoop supplies from Hoopologie. When it comes to hoops, THEY KNOW WHAT'S UP! Also, a huge shoutout to Moodhoops! They are the source for Original Moodgrips and Rockin' Ball end caps. The design of these endcaps is excellent. Not only are they friction fit silicone, which makes switching out the end caps on any of our wands ultra-easy and super-fast, but that extra compartment to hold washers is just so convenient. Whether you are wanting to simply change your wand's weight or trying out a different type of flow, MOODHOOPS HAS YOU COVERED! They also produce high-quality LED Leviwands! They know a thing or two about Leviwands, and their customer service can't be beat. THANK YOU MOODHOOPS! If this isn't your first flow rodeo, you will have definitely heard of Flowtoys. Flowtoys is the leader of the pack when it comes to LED props of ALL KINDS. They have been supporting the flow community since 2005, so you know they have had lots of time to do their homework. We use Flowtoys Fingerloops on our shortstring builds because everything they make is high-quality, and their fingerloops are no different. We always have our eye on quality when choosing parts for our products. Collapsible Leviwands are made of high density aluminum, as well as various locally and internationally sourced parts. • What is the difference between daywands and contact wands?
When it comes to Infinite Fluidity Collapsible Leviwands, there are 4 main differences: 1) Daywands are generally lighter. The thinner tubing makes daywands really good at facilitating a lighter floaty flow as well as isolations. They are also a great beginners option, a little less intimidating while learning, and great for longstring as well. 2) Daywands do not include silicone grip. Silicone grip can be great for learning contact moves, however, we do recommend a contact wand if you are interested in this type of flow, as the thicker tubing and extra weight makes quite a difference and facilitates smoother contact flow. That being said, we have completed quality testing and found that the daywands will withstand the extra force of contact moves and the extra weight of ball end caps-so if you care to dabble in some contact moves with a collapsible daywand you have already, GO FOR IT! 3) Daywands include straight-style end caps. We do offer the option to upgrade to Moodhoops ball end caps, however, they will not include the washer bundles for extra added weight. Upgrading to ball end caps will increase the weight of your wand by almost 1.5 oz. 4) Handle options. Daywands will come with the standard Infinite Fluidity Minigrip with built in swivel. These are available in a variety of fun colors. We can also set you up with a Flowtoys Fingerloop if you prefer, or Longstring Technora. Contact wands come standard with the much larger Moodhoops Moodgrip, which is a more balanced size compared with the weight of contact wands. We do offer the option to upgrade to the larger Moodgrip on your daywand if that is what you prefer, or to request a minigrip or megagrip for your contact wand if that is your preference.
  • What is the difference between the 2 different protection layers?
The purpose of the protective layers is to keep the tapejob protected from scratches, scuffs, and most of all PEELING. Regular leviwands will have the tape(s) on either end of the wand secured beneath the end caps to keep them from peeling, while the collapsible leviwands also have multiple connection points that need to be protected. On a standard 4 section collapsible, there are 3 joints that each have 2 ends, making 6 very important points where tape(s) will not be secured beneath end caps. Both options are heat shrink applications which provide a solid, seamless layer of protection. We offer 2 different types of protective layers to suit your needs. Here is a breakdown of the pros and cons of each: PVC LAYER - Thinner - Lighter - Standard on all daywands - Extremely clear to show off all those shiny, sparkly tapes - This layer is applied from end to end PRO: This clear layer is very thin, which allows the tapes to be seen brightly with more vibrance and sparkle (especially holo and glitter tapes). CON: Less durable than EVA. Care should be taken when folding and connecting the wand sections so as to not cause rips or tears at the connections which, if left unchecked, could result in the tapejob peeling. IF YOU WANT TO BE ABLE TO THROW YOUR DAYWAND OPEN QUICKLY AS A TRICK OR FLOURISH, IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU UPGRADE TO THE EVA PROTECTIVE LAYER. __________________________________________________ EVA LAYER (UPGRADE) - Thicker - Heavier - Standard on all contact wands - Ultimate durability - Has a matte appearance due to the extra thickness - This layer is typically applied in the center portion of the wand, covering all joints, but not right to the end - Can be applied from end to end by special request if that is preferred. To make this request, contact Infinite Fluidity, or add a note in the order notes section in your shopping cart at the time of purchase. PRO: The extra durability of this layer makes it possible to throw the wand open quickly without any risk of ripping or tearing at the connections. CON: This layer has a matte, slightly cloudy appearance. PLEASE NOTE: ALL WANDS ARE FINISHED WITH CRYSTAL CLEAR PROTECTIVE TAPE BENEATH THE PROTECTIVE LAYER, MEANING THAT IF YOU DO HAPPEN TO HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THE PROTECTIVE LAYER RIPPING OR PEELING, YOUR TAPEJOB WILL NOT BE RUINED IMMEDIATELY. ONLY IF THE PROTECTIVE LAYER FAILS AND IS LEFT UNCHECKED OVER TIME WILL THE CRYSTAL CLEAR TAPE BECOME EXPOSED, AND ONLY AFTER THE CRYSTAL CLEAR TAPE IS COMPROMISED WILL YOU SEE DAMAGE TO THE DECO TAPE(S) BENEATH. THIS HAS NOT BEEN AN ISSUE THROUGHOUT ANY OF OUR TESTING SO FAR. IF YOU EVER EXPERIENCE THIS ISSUE, IT IS EASILY FIXABLE AS LONG AS IT IS NOT LEFT UNCHECKED FOR TOO LONG. Please review the photos below to see what each option will look like when applied to a wand:
  • Can I do contact moves with my collapsible daywand?
The lighter, thinner tubing used for daywands will hold up during controlled contact moves, however the extra weight of ball end caps (upgrade) can cause more stress on the connections and may cause issues if used in faster aggressive contact flow. You can minimize this risk by purchasing a set of ball end caps as well as the smaller straight caps, and switching out to the straight caps when flowing in a harder, faster fashion or trying to learn new tricks - less weight at the ends will put less stress on the connections. For this reason, it is not recommended to learn contact moves on an upgraded daywand. It is recommended that you exercise caution and control during contact play exploration with daywands. If your contact flow is more experienced and smooth, this should not be a problem
  • Am I able to order collapsible wands of a custom length?
Yes! Collapsible wands can be made in a wide range of custom lengths to better suit your flow. Here's the breakdown: CONTACT WANDS: - Standard length is 30 inches (4 sections) - Custom length is 24 - 30 inches - just choose the length you want in the options section of the product listing - Mini wand length is 23 inches (3 sections) - Oversized lengths are 31 - 39 inches (5 sections - the 5th section will be a partial section unless you choose 39 inches, which is 5 full sized sections) To order an oversized contact wand you will need to add a Contact Wand Oversized Length Upgrade to your cart. DAYWANDS: - Standard length is 29 inches (4 sections) - Custom length is 23 - 28 inches - just choose the length you want in the options section of the product listing - Mini wand length is 22 inches (3 sections) - Oversized lengths are 30 - 38 inches (5 sections - the 5th section will be a partial section unless you choose 38 inches, which is 5 full sections) To order an oversized daywand you will need to add a Daywand Oversized Length Upgrade to your cart.
  • How should I store my wand?
Collapsible wands should be left in the connected configuration as much as possible when not in use, which will help preserve the integrity of the elastics. Connections must be treated with care (specifically with the lighter daywands). Basic actions like not leaving your wand lying around to be stepped on or tripped over, and not leaving your wand in a hot vehicle will ensure your wand will remain straight and balanced. When travelling with your wand, you will want to keep your wand in the folded configuration. For example, If you are checking your wand in your baggage for a flight or long trip. This way, if your bag is handled roughly there wont be as much stress on the connections. If your wand is mishandled and becomes bent or crooked due to too much stress on the connections, THERE IS NO WAY TO FIX THIS! Elastics, protective layers, tape, string, and all end caps and handles can be refurbished or replaced if needed, but problems with the connections generally cannot be fixed. BE KIND TO YOUR CONNECTIONS.
  • What do I need to know about shipping options?
It is important that you pay attention to the shipping region you select when checking out your cart. Our shop is located in Canada, and our 3 shipping regions are Canada, USA, and International (all other countries). Our shop is set up to provide live shipping rates depending on your region. There should be at least 3 options for each region. Occasionally our shipping partners experience disruptions in calculating live rates. Live shipping rates are calculated to the cent (e.g. $13.49), with the exception of the CANADA Domestic Flat Rate Box. If the live rate cannot be calculated by our shipping partners at the time of checkout, a fallback rate will be displayed. Fallback rates are programmed to the nearest dollar (e.g. $15.00). If all the rates show up to the nearest dollar, it is likely there is temporary disruption with the live rate calculation. NOTE: LIVE RATE CALCULATIONS ARE OFTEN CHEAPEST IN THE MORNING, AS THAT GIVES THE SHIPPING COMPANY THE MOST TIME TO DELIVER THE PACKAGE WITHIN THE TIMEFRAME SPECIFIC TO THAT RATE. BY ORDERING IN THE MORNING, YOU MAY BE ABLE TO SAVE A FEW DOLLARS ON INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS THAT CAN COST SIGNIFIGANTLY MORE!!! When shopping on mobile or tablet, shipping rates may not display fully. Mobile or tablet users will have to select the shipping option, then refer to the shipping cost below the subtotal to see the shipping cost for each rate.
